Connor Reid

Connor works as an MMO and PAM operator internationally,  and in 2022 – he joined SRC as a intern / volunteer as part of the African Bioacoustics Conference (held in Kruger National Park), which was then followed by the workshop held with Southern Denmark University and an exciting field season DTAGGING humpback whales in Saldanha Bay with Natacha Aguilar de Soto…  Connor then went on to do his MSc degree on the multi-university MOBI course https://www.masterofbioacoustics.com/  run through several universities in Europe.  For his thesis – Connor is looking at call combinations of humpback whale calls collected during the 2022 DTAGging field project, and taking a linguistic approach to doing this!
